Caitlin Maling has published poetry around Australia in Quadrant, Blue Dog, Going Down Swinging, Voiceworks, Text Journal and the Sun Herald Extra, and in 2009 she was the winner of the John Marsden Poetry Prize. In 2011 Caitlin attended the Varuna Writers Centre to work on her first collection with the help of a Varuna Fellowship for Writer's Retreat.

Her first book Conversations I've Never Had was published in early 2015, followed by Border Crossing in 2017 with Fremantle Press. Her work has appeared widely throughout Australia and the US.
