Teeth

Tiny white teeth,
Fragile pearls,
From the mouths of babes.
My son's teeth,
Gathered in a clear glass prism.
Fallen jewels from wide smiles,
Ivory sentinels guarding youthful secrets,
Trinkets from a mischievous childhood.
Memory bites,
A mother’s treasure.
