The End: A series of haikus

constant chastising
with brutal assaults to thoughts
contemplating blame

backtracking affairs
and rote tracing memories
drown the helpless maid

speculations charge
on how nothing came to be
between bird and prey

but things unforseen
come to the victim's rescue
issuing escape

all perturbations
all beguiling delusions
arrive at a close

upon conclusion
a joyous liberation
and some sly wishes
