Amani Mahmoud

Amani Mahmoud is a performance poet who has been speaking predominantly at Bankstown Poetry Slam since 2018. She has performed at the 2019 TedxYouth conference as well as the 2019 Sydney Writers Festival with 'Women of the Word.' Amani has also support featured at Bankstown Poetry Slam. Amani was part of the overall runner up team for the 2018 BPS Grand Slam and was part of the 2020 Grand Slam production as well.  She has been attending the Sweatshop Women's Collective since 2020 in an effort to build her skills within and beyond spoken word poetry. When she is not 'poeting' she is studying law and social political science at UTS.
