Jake Dennis @PoetOfJazz (Facebook, YouTube) is a Burmese-Australian Boorloo-based entertainer (singer/poet/actor) and educator who captivates audiences with soulful live performances. A crooner and carer whose prize-winning poetry is published across seventeen countries in over 100 publications (New Contrast, Poetry Aotearoa Yearbook, Poetry Ireland Review, SUSPECT, Wasafiri, Westerly, etc.), JD is a Curtin University, WestWords, and Writing WA alumnus awarded residencies from the City of Swan, KSP Writers Centre, and WA Poets Inc. #PoetOfJazz runs Poetry Lovers Perth and is a passionate, endearing, and hard-working creative professional with decades of showbusiness credits; a jazz/soul/swing/pop/blues vocalist with ‘charm, an impressive vocal range’ (Australian Stage) and a ‘fluid, almost sensual voice’ (Out in Perth).
