Jaya Savige's first collection of poetry, latecomers (UQP 2005), was awarded the Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry and the Thomas Shapcott Prize. His poems have been translated into Chinese, Spanish, Bangla and Indonesian, and he has read at literary events across Australia and Europe. His poetry criticism has appeared in various publications, including the Sydney Morning Herald and the Australian Book Review. Since 2006 he has been the poetry adviser to the Australian Literary Review. He currently lives in Cambridge, UK.
