John Tranter

John Tranter has published more than twenty collections of poetry and co-edited the Penguin Book of Modern Australian Poetry. He is the editor of the free Internet literary magazine Jacket. His latest book is Urban Myths: 210 poems, a selection of forty years' work. Currently, he is an honorary associate in the School of Letters, Arts and Media at the University of Sydney, and an honorary fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities.

John assisted in the selection of poems for 'Poetry Crimes' and features in Episode 5 of The Wordshed. He was also one of ten commissioned poets whose work was put to film as part of The Poetry Picture Show. Visit his website: johntranter.com
