Lesh Karan/लेश करण is an emerging poet and essayist. Her publications include Australian Multilingual Writing Project, Australian Poetry journal, Best of Australian Poems 2022, Cordite, Island, Mascara, Overland, Rabbit and Red Room Poetry, amongst others. In 2023, she won the Liquid Amber Poetry Prize and was shortlisted for the Judith Wright Poetry Prize. In her work, Lesh plays with form and language, at times code-mixing Hindi – her mother tongue – with English. She was born in Fiji and lives in Naarm/Melbourne.
