Mary-Jane Duffy is a pākeha poet and essayist from Aotearoa. She lives amongst the clouds in Te Whānganui-a-Tara Wellington with her husband Ben and Cheeni, the most adorable dog. Her ancestors are from Ireland and England. She acknowledges Ngāti Toa Rangatira and Te Atiawa as the mana whenua of the unceded lands on which she lives.
