Mran-Maree Laing

Mran-Maree Laing lives and writes on Gadigal land. Her work has appeared in Best Australian Poems, Meanjin, Cordite Poetry Review, Brushstrokes, the ACU Poetry Prize Chapbook, Antipodes, and elsewhere. Her poetry and short fiction has won, been highly commended, shortlisted and longlisted for national and international prizes. Mran-Maree was awarded the 2024 Varuna Flagship Poetry Fellowship, was short-listed for the 2024 Thomas Shapcott Award and was a 2025 Bundanon Artist in Residence. Her debut poetry collection Falling Upwards is being published by 5 Islands Press in May 2027.
