There was plenty of action at last weekend’s Warrnambool Rodeo.
All your turkey, beef, chicken and lamb needs. Order early to be prepared.
Five-day weather forecast possible morning showers, partly cloudy, sunny
tide times. We really do live in such a wonderful and caring community.
Reported CFA cuts false. It’s disappointing that I must correct unhelpful
misinformation. More than $337 million in CFA base funding allocated.
Workwear and safety shoes for all jobs. We’re from around here.
We are a local business employing local people. You’re invited to party
this Christmas. The aged care sector is challenged to find and retain staff.
People need to earn and learn at the same time. Spike in drownings a concern.
Tragically, multicultural communities across Victoria had the highest number
of drownings since records began. Our community collectively shudders
at this sharp increase in drowning deaths. Brighten up your deck
with our Chrissy lights and outdoor settings. Dirt flies at the showgrounds
with the running of the annual Warrnambool Rodeo. Chaps, boots and hats
in abundance with bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback and barrel races. The bull
was the winner in the open event. Brave contestants Seamus Fitzpatrick,
Jesse Ripper, Julie Breed and Corbin Mundy went home with prized belt buckles.
You must wear a helmet, or be fined. No one should be abused when they’re at work.
Gender-based violence is not acceptable or tolerated in our community. Reports
of family violence in the Warrnambool region have risen significantly. Wednesday
parma night: choice of five different parmas. Great function room for that special
occasion. Running a giant book sale requires a gigantic collection of books.
Disappointing spring pasture growth across Western Victoria means farmers
are turning to alternative feed sources. To make sure that adequate weight gains
can be achieved on a straw-based diet, the straw will need to be matched
with a high energy protein supplement. Port Fairy and Koroit celebrated
the festive season in style last weekend. The rain held off and families spread
blankets on the green. The Irish festival and Lions club members love hosting
the carols. A visit from ‘Irish Santa’ was a highlight for children. Hamilton Agents
yarded a near record of 63,000 lambs. Heavy lambs topped at $315/head. The southwest
will have strong representation in the Australian Country Cricket Championships.
Will Callaghan was the only local to earn a sash at this year’s Warrnambool Gift,
taking out the Open 800m event. Local news, local people, local stories.
