Olivia Richardson

At the time of Dust Poems, Olivia Richardson was thirteen years old and had recently begun writing poems about trucking.  Her father Tony’s livestock transportation company drives steers to the Sydney Royal Easter Show, at which Olivia has been a junior judge.  She has grown up in the cabins of trucks alongside Tony, who describes her as his “best mate”.
