Richard Scott-Moore
Goombine (Richard Scott-Moore) – Yuin Nation, Australia.
A Songman, carrying traditional songs that have been passed down through his bloodline for thousands of years. He has toured around the world sharing his songs, stories and dances. Goombine initiated a program where traditional dance is available for all students no matter their background. That has been an instrumental key to the success of bridging the gap with Aboriginal children in Australia. He shares traditional knowledge through his work in the drug & alcohol rehabilitation field. He believes that through understanding comes respect and unity. As an invited choreographer to China, he choreographed segments of the Opening Ceremonies at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 highlighting Aboriginal Australia. He was a co-choreographer in creating the Opening Ceremonies of the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Sydney; and with special invite Goombine was presented at the 2018 Rotary International Gathering in Toronto, Canada. Goombine continues to perform, teach and share across Australia and internationally.
