IT HURTS

It hurts being apart from my loved ones
who know me better than I at times
Yes – no doubt these walls in four surround us
to leave us in, some at war but far from a bore
within the pain and grift of so many that
dwell in these passing yards as we walk
head held high, to and fro, day to day
At times feeling the burning inside
Heats so quickly rushes with confusion and
coincides stress anger for the time I’m here
I yet not fear no Miss, Sir, screw or
scrim time in here wasted and hated for
I no long mistrayed it - it is what it is and
no longer – no more most wrongs once, twice
an over to what past I know no longer
I am no longer lost for now soon
to be again a mother but for now
a girl – a little girl that’s to be mine
Now able to find the path which I was
pushed off and away, to come to an end
now must be no more for an end
and for now to new beginning
She is coming
