Sista Zai Zanda is an Afrofuturistic Storyteller. She has toured Zimbabwe, South Africa, Denmark and Australia as a performer, educator and curator on independent productions, for community and international arts festivals. In 2015, she founded the iconic Pan Afrikan Poets Café. A pop-up Afro-literary party, the Pan Afrikan Poets Café showcased over one hundred performances by African and First Nations performers in a celebration of Africa’s rich literary legacy and diverse storytelling traditions that remained deeply rooted in love and respect for First Nations.

Building on fourteen years as a community radio broadcaster and the themes she explored as curator and host of the Pan Afrikan Poets Café, Sista Zai currently writes and records herstory from a Black African woman’s gaze. Her independent serial podcast, Life Seen Through A Sista’s Eye is a seasonal and interactive digital storytelling journey and it is streaming now everywhere you love to listen to podcasts.
