Poetry Month returns throughout August 2024 to celebrate Australian poetry, poets and publishers.

Launched in 2021 by Red Room Poetry, Poetry Month aims to increase access, awareness and visibility of poetry in all its forms and for all audiences. This year, Poetry Month (1-31 August) features a blazing line-up of poetic celebrations, events and showcases in every state and territory as well as a host of ways to get involved. From daily poems and writing prompts to online workshops, prizes and residencies, there's a poem to fit everyone – from seasoned poetry lovers to the unversed.

The full program will be revealed in July. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to find out.
