The luscious water rippled across the sand, glistened in sunlight,
The waves crashed onto the sand like a charging horse, they did,
The radiant sun rested on the horizon,
Where the sky and earth embraced each other,
The fractured reflection of the sun, painted onto the crystal-clear water,
The birds soared across the vast ocean,
Boats sailed around in the whirlwind,
Beneath the Serene Sea, once where colourful coral rested,
Recurrent rainbows of fish, glided along the current,
It was an underwater metropolis, but would it last forever?
A simple piece of plastic, transformed into thousands,
Forced itself in the intestines, tangled itself into deepened flesh,
Tormented with its sharp edges like a silent assassin,
These are the crimes it committed, sea creatures it out-witted.
20 years ago, this paradise existed,
Now nothing but dust drifts the shore,
The marine creatures were killed off one by one,
The sea flora and fauna all gone,
Afterall there were seven seas, but now the seas have ceased,
No more waves, a quiet emptiness it displays,
