Natural Nightmare
By Jaydin (Year 6, Gwynne Park Primary School)As I look around and see beautiful lush nature, frogs croak in their lively habitat.
I breath in fresh oxygen gifted by nature.
The occasional breeze made my eyes shut, as memories and illusions casted
through my mind past, present and future. -
Bliss
By Chloe (Year 11, Hornsby Girls High School)Nature is more alive than anything on the moors,
Back home, beaten disheveled greens,
Of grass blades mingle with the mosses,
And the dullness of earth's many scenes. -
The Beach
By Natalie (Year 7, St Dominic's Priory College)I first step onto the hot burning sand,
With my beach towel and sunscreen in my hand,
I dump my stuff off by the shore,
And I open up an imaginary door, -
My Poem
By Jye (Year 6, Gwynne Park Primary School)I see,
a big dry Boab tree surrounded with a lot of dry, dusty dirt. With the sun glaring straight on the rough and pointy bark, as it stands proud to be a part of nature.
I hear,
the magpies chirping on the big thick tree branch with their babies in their nests. -
Mini Tiny

a fish flapping -
Dreading Animals Shearing Day
By Somi (Year 6, Abbotsleigh)A message comes up on your phone. It is a shop reminding you for shearing day.
As you walk out of your house and onto the grass for the event that you absolutely dread.
An animal stands there waiting, in a fixed spot, unmoving.
It really has no clue as to what her kind owner is about to do. -
Trees Beautiful Trees 🌲
By Thomas (Year 3, Sans Souci Public School)Trees, trees are good for your heart

We need them to survive -
The depression

I am sick and weak and numb
The trees laugh at me as I try to make my way through -
My Nura my Bootboot
By Raifa (Year 6, Arkana College)The beat of the yabun, awakens Uluru
The bootboot of this land with blood on their hands
Wiyana, biyana, djuramin and babana
My Nura was taken from me. -
Disappear into Nature
By Rhys (Year 7, Reddam House Primary School)Turrets of pink flowers glisten intricately in the wind as they sway on their post,
bursts of brilliant green leaves like crystal shards in the light, like fireworks on the ground,
Vibrant soil cascading onto elegant stems risen from the ground
Strings of green hang from the sky, climbing the walls and reaching for the sky -
Spring
By Rayan (Year 4, Arkana College)It is dawn and the sun is rising
spreading all its colourful rays,
Now it’s Spring
the season when there are warm and beautiful days. -
A Natural Miracle
By Angela (Year 5, Hornsby North Public School)Many years ago, man had taken off into space.
Vast masses of crowds, young and old, came to watch it take place.
A miracle, this was, and everyone cheered.
Just yesterday, in your garden, perhaps, -
Walk By…
By Therese (Year 10, Holy Cross College)Sit. The greatest of the great stand among you.
Each grand oak and pine, each blooming jacaranda, each and every flower and bird flutter around your being.
They move with you.
They move in you. -
Nature changing
By Sarah (Year 1, Presbyterian Ladies' College)Fiery rays shine down on us,
The burning, scorching sun.
Plants wilt and thirst for water,
Precious trees shade everyone. -
Land of Hope
By Bridie (Teacher, Trunkey Public School)It's one thing to see a place;
truly to see it, receive it, breathe it, know it...
But it's something else entirely, something so sacred, so special,
to be seen by that place; -
My Senses of the Forest
By Charlene (Year 3, St Patrick's Primary School)I can see the clear, blue sky,
That had no clouds in the sight of my eye.
I can see the dancing trees,
And the wind carries the green leaves. -
The Red Road
By Flora (Year 5, Swan Hill Primary School)There’s a red road in front of me
A red road leading to nowhere
There is a road lined with gum trees
A red path where kangaroos bounce -
Trees Hold Beauty

Trees hold fear,
Trees are good not bad, -
Joy
By Alice (Year 6, Australian Christian College-distance education)It was a long drive to the beach in the summer,
My heart was galloping ever faster.
A blue topaz sky above, the calm wind blowed,
Today’s a scorching day hotter than any other. -
One bright day
By Tiara (Year 4, West Ryde Public School)On a bright day,
The sun is shining,
The water is dazzling,
