A bear in my heart

As kids they were twins joined at the hip, well more like the arm.
At night one was a knight in shining armor the other was a damsel.
Together they would be the cause of mischief and mayhem.

One was like a bear standing in the forest waiting to be able to hold you in it’s arms as protection and safety.

Together they would be the source of laughter that filled the house.
Together they were as carefree as a lark.
Even though one is just teddy bear she is as real as she is.

When it’s uncool to be together anymore one hides under the bed while the other has friends over.

While one was a little girl who may grow up and forget the memories they shared the other will always be there for her even if she gives her up.

A Bear that always holds the girl in her heart while the girl has grown up to do greater things, she has long forgotten the bear that had always been with her.
