The sound of a thunderous morning when I woke up,
And the annoying alarm buzzing next to me,
I forced myself out of my bed as slow as a snail walking in the woods,
Irritated and devastated that I have to go to school today,
And so as disheartening in a cold winter’s morning.

When I dawdled to the kitchen as quiet as a mouse,
The gloomy sky surrounded us as I slowly opened the curtains in great disgust,
As quickly as a cheetah sprinting for its prey,
I tried getting ready for a tiring day at school,
And so as disheartening in a cold winter’s morning.

The transparent doves flying with me while I was walking to the distant bus stop,
Which was an aggressive sight, especially at seven at the morning,
Suddenly the thunder roared and the rain answered,
Pouring cats and dogs on my sheltered umbrella,
And so as disheartening in a cold winter’s morning.

Astonishment on my face as I reached the mono-rail station,
As the terrible rain will never stop,
Hoping that the next severe weather level will not occur,
Waiting impatiently for the train like nerds waiting for their next assigned tasks,
And so as disheartening in a cold winter’s morning.
