A Dream of Nature

Dreaming,
Dreaming,
Of a world where flora is safe,
Waiting patiently,
Of a world where fauna can escape,
The Wattles whisper, the Saltbushes sigh,
A dream of harmony.
The land is broken, cracked from drought,
Eternal flames keep breaking out,
Then the flood loves to splash on the parade,
As humans destroy, eliminate.
Dreaming,
Dreaming,
To see the future and wait.
Remembering a land where nature’s ancestors lived and thrived,
Debates about if we should join forces with humans and commemorate,
Hoping now,
One day, we will find peace.
