A Fiery Reign

Sun bright in the sky
Birds overhead give a cry.
Windy breeze, dry leaves
Blue sky above deceives.
A small spark fuels a flame
A blazing fire that flame became.
Glowing embers, fire creeps
Fire snickers, fire leaps.
Singed trees burnt black
Fire hoses facing each attack.
Houses that now are ruins
Firefighters looking for solutions.
Finally the fire is diminished
Flames fiery reign is finished.
Find solace in loved ones arms
Then forget the fire alarms.
And soon after the flame-filled days
Vibrant greens peek through the greys.
New growth everywhere resuming
Trees rising, flowers blooming.
