I feel the forest breath,

Its ancient gnarled trunks creak and groan,

Its old roots snaking through the earth,

I feel safe and calm

I feel the forest breath,

Its cool breeze wraps my body in a blanket of calm and healing.

I feel alive

The canopy above shades the wrath of the harsh sun, providing shelter for the shrubs to flourish

I feel safe and calm

I feel the forest breath,

The birds sing and chirp, filling the air with excitement and joy.

I feel the soft soil run through my feet, its heartbeat within

A stream runs through the ground ahead, like the veins of the forest providing blood to the heart.

I feel safe and calm

I wonder what these trees have seen, standing tall for thousands of years

How the forest changes, burns and grows

I come here to relax and heal, and the forest provides.
