Training on Thursday,
Can’t wait for Saturday.
Going to bed early,
Getting up early and staying awake barely.
Ripping off my jumper cold skin revealed,
I can’t wait to run out onto the field.
This is what I’ve trained for,
To me this is war.
Training on Thursday,
Can’t wait for Saturday.
Going to bed early,
Getting up early and staying awake barely.
Umpires whistle blows,
Time slows.
The ball is hit,
I prepare to the steal the ball I cannot quit.
In the middle of the action, we are two goals down,
“Come on boys let’s take this to town!”
We can still win this don’t give up now,
Wipe the sweat off your brow.
Training on Thursday,
Can’t wait for Saturday.
Going to bed early,
Getting up early and staying awake barely.
After halftime, we feel in inspired,
End of the second half we are starting to feel tired.
End of the game we fought hard,
“Oh, well boys, forget about the scorecard.”
Training on Thursday,
Can’t wait for Saturday.
Going to bed early,
Getting up early and staying awake barely.
