The gum leaves are blowing,
Against the windy air,
Where are the leaves going?
No one even cares.
Suddenly it is hot,
To a koala sleeping there,
Not it is not!
It’s a fire over there!
The bush starts to burn,
The koala heads down the tree,
She doesn’t know where to turn,
With the smoke she cannot see.
She wanders on forever,
Not knowing what to do,
Until she found a person,
Who said, “I’ll help you!”
The man picked the koala up,
And rushed away from the fire,
As the bush burnt up,
He did not even tire.
After a month in rehabilitation,
Koala is going to be set free,
Then she was set out into the nation,
The bush where she would be happy.
