The scorching sun rays burn the

people who were still lying on the sand. I try to avoid

my melting icy pole from dripping down my hand

as I pushed through the crowds of teens

and children surrounding the tiny cart, hoping they

haven’t already run out.

Tourists unload their cars,

excited to get their family photos on the Bondi Beach.

The wind starts to pick up

as they pose for their cameras; the sun

is being covered by blankets of clouds,

casting a shadow over what was a perfect afternoon.

The local families try to keep their umbrellas

up straight, as they reapply their sunscreen. The sun slowly

peeks out from behind the clouds. They knew that

couldn’t keep the sun hidden forever...

The people carry on with their

lives unaware that Autumn is coming

early this year. Although the sun is out today,

who knows if it really will come out tomorrow?
