A Poem To Be Spoken Silently

It was so silent that I heard
my thoughts shuffle
like trees in the wind.
It was so peaceful that I heard
the trees blowing in the wind.
It was so silent that I heard
the leaves falling down.
It was so silent that I heard
the sun and moon
whisper to its neighbour,
“I want to stay here”.
It was so still that I felt
a raindrop grin
as it trickled down the leaves.
It was so calm that I sensed
a smile crack the face
of a stranger like freezing ice.
