A Poem To Be Spoken Silently
By Layla F
It was so quiet that I heard
my thoughts sparkle
like glimmering lights in the dark.
It was so peaceful that I heard
the snow dance as it fell onto the cold ground.
It was so loud that I heard
The rustling of a wool blanket.
It was so still that I heard
a page in my diary say:
”write in me again”.
It was so silent that I heard
a lung whisper to its neighbour,
“breathe, breathe, breathe”.
It was so still that I felt
a raindrop grin
as it tickled the window pane.
It was so calm that I sensed
a smile crack the face
of my heart.
