A Rain Song

Raindrops are drizzling,
All day and night long,
Sometimes soft, sometimes loud,
Singing a mesmerising song.
It's dripping on the trees,
And splashing on rooftops,
It's pouring on my umbrella
And my heart beats a throb.
The raindrops blow bubbles,
Softly on the ground,
And children are jumping in the puddles,
Making a happy sound.
Our raincoats and gumboots
Are drenched in the rain.
We are filled with joy
And there is no complaint.
As the sky gets clear,
A ray of sun appears.
Here comes the rainbow,
For all of us to cheer.
