A Singular Tulip

A single tulip stands alone
Where many flowers had once grown
The dry, cracked ground begs for rain
Hoping that water from the clouds will come again
After one too many arid months in the field
Suddenly, the clouds did yield
And droplets of water
Crashed to the dirt
Changing the desert
To a pleasant
Field of tulips.
