The waves gently caressed the cliff

Slowly… slowly…

Gently the tides rode their long journey

Of bringing a tiny clear object

To the heart… Of pollution

Joined its kin

One plastic, was nothing

All of them, was a tsunami

Suffocating everything, merciless

This polluted wasteland

Long ago, was perfect, a paradise

Plastic were none, nature was one,

Yet the demons came marching in,

Pouring black waste, throwing plastics,

Leaving a poison footprint, wherever they went

My grandpa gave me a piercing stare

‘This is the story,

Of how humanity ruined everything.

But we can change, one small step

The final verse, is yet to come.’
