A Trip to Space

I had a dream when I was a lad
To explore the depths of space
I thought it would be really rad
To leave old boring Earth’s face

The great universe was out there.
Waiting patiently to be explored.
I would have liked to go elsewhere
Than Earth, of which I was bored.

On my fancy fantastic spaceship,
I would dive to the planets that correspond
I would set sail on this terrific trip
To infinity and beyond

But I would definitely not dare
To venture past the sun
I would get incinerated by a flare
And that would not be fun!
