A Walk in the Park

As I walk, I hear the trees whispering
tunes of hope and harmony.
I watch the flowers swaying in the wind,
joining in a merry dance.
The dry desert grass crackles beneath my feet.
Native plants, so elegant and delicate yet strong and reliable.
So determined. To grow, to thrive, to survive.
Plants – strong and beautiful living beings,
they need help now, more than ever.
Deforestation and pollution are taking over our planet,
faster faster faster – every day.
With pride, honour and hope, we will work
to save and restore our once overgrown land.
