Serenity rules, peace pervades

All is quiet in the forest of jade

A rumbling roar shatters the silence

Our haven is razed in rage and violence

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide

For the lost ones we fight, for the lost ones we cry

But in the end, our fates are bound

And we join them in the ground

But...

Somewhere in the plains, a new sapling sprouts

Lush and green comes after rain spouts

Somewhere in the plains, a blue-speckled egg wobbles

And out of it, a feathery head bobbles

Our last hope flickers to life

Slices through darkness, sharp as a knife

A single child pierces the silence

Mournful, alone, but an act of defiance
