The thick white blanket of cloud covers the surface of my head,
It spreads through my hair,
Coats my scalp as it freezes like ice,
Creating a strong, stubborn, sleek barrier,

The room is infused with its sickly sweet aroma,
And makes my nerves dance inside of me,
The polished layer glistens under the beaming lights,
Protecting me from what's to come,

The vortex flows over every strand,
Cloaking me with strength, invincibility,
And confidence,
It's my barrier, my defence, my protection
