Among The Red

World so calm

Of warmth and delight, 

Until the sun was covered 

A flame flickered alight. 

The wildlife park, 

No longer green 

Flames of fury 

Big and mean. 

A red forcefield

No one in or out , 

Burning agony 

Middle of a drought 

Sunset stuck in time 

Sound among the red,

Firefighters here to help

Wave your hands. Up ahead! 

Animals returned to their homes 

Earth's children bounce around 

Beautiful roses and violets too 

No fire monster found!
