The sky is smiling at the snow below,

Smooth seals sliding on the slippery ice.

Huddled sled dogs sprinting through drifts of snow,

When penguins are hunting they must be precise.

Freezing frost hurls like a tornado,

Orcas explore this frozen paradise.

Antarctica is filled with white candy floss,

If we forgot it, that would be such a loss.

We are so lucky that Antarctica is there,

Otherwise we would have no more cool air.

Seals are gliding through the sea,

Waving happily at you and me.

If you are being laughed at by a little, playful seal,

Have fun with it, but don’t you squeal.

Tardigrades are small,

But don’t let it fool you or you’ll fall.

Groups of squid are propelling through the depths of the giant, blue void,

Don’t destroy it/them because they are not underemployed.

Have fun, but don’t you run!

Or you’ll slip and lose your grip.
