Aussie Animals

Tweet, tweet,
the birds go cheep.
Shiny, sparkly beetles,
the echidna’s spines are like needles.
Leaves for lunch,
munch, munch, munch.
The lizard’s eyes are very green,
the greenest eyes you have ever seen.
The call of the seagulls fill the salty air.
Dolphins leap out of the water, backs arching.
Squawk of the lorikeets.
The crocodile leaps at its prey,
jaws wide open.
The lizards are roughly playing,
and the koalas are eating eucalyptus.
Australia is a great place,
a place which is not a disgrace.
Except for the leeches,
which may make you say, ‘Oh creepers!’
