In emerald leaves, the azure kingfisher glides.

With sapphire wings that glitter, a gleam as it plunges.

Into the river, quick as a sigh,

It dances on the water under the vast sky.

In the soft light of dawn,

A flick of azure, so fast and neat.

Among the rushes, where ripples bloom,

It paints the air with its merry ballet.
