Backyard Orchestra

The morning sun breaks the cold of night
The dew drops from leaf to leaf
The animals awake after sleeping tight
The sun shines, awakening from its sleep

Birds sing,
Babies chirp,
Leaves rustle in the nests,
The song of the birds, a beautiful serenade of colour

Shining through the fog, sunbeams like lasers penetrate the sky
Illuminating the house like a mini sun
The dormant animals inside awaken
Loud footsteps "STOMP" "STOMP" "STOMP"

Leaves sway and rustle
Grass grows then crunches
Rocks crumble, animals squeak

My backyard is an orchestra and
Nature is the composer
