Tiny pink ballet shoes
Twirling, pointing, dancing
Dreaming in a dusty cupboard

Plié, sashay, jetté and tombay,
Waltz on tiny toe-tips
And couru back

Stepping, arm-breaths
Just in time with the music
Just in time with the beat

Then, the concert
Amusing characters-
Sneezy the dwarf, Aladdin’s treasure.
Watching the audience shyly

Tiny pink ballet shoes,
Waltzing on tiny toe-tips
Just in time with the beat

Then, voila! New ballet shoes
As the years go passing by,
The bigger the shoes,
The more advanced steps,
