I learned a traditional dance by Aunty Jodi about being connected to the land and that burri burri is a Dharawal name for whale. Another traditional Yuin dance that acts as a whale welcoming is guruwal.

Jacob taught us a ceremonial dance where both boys and girls had their own part, through the mother.

I also found what Dharawal culture and my culture of Tongan have in common. Both Tongans and Dharawal people of Australia are proud of their culture and have their own traditions of songs, dances and language.
