Beautiful Trees

The trees in the forest are beautiful,

the air fresh

it smells clean here

not like the city.

I can smell eucalyptus

but no koalas live here

they maybe did a long time ago

but not now.

I can see wattle flowers

bright and colourful

my brother doesn't want to touch them, 

he says they look too spiky.

I like it here in the mountains

with the trees in the forest

I hope there's no black smoke this year

we will have to wait and see.
