Whilst the humans are fighting,

The species are dying,

Their stories going untold.

No stitches can heal this wound, nor can cement fill this ever-growing void.

The land, being filled with concrete and cars,

The reefs a collection of corpses,

Creating their own solemn graveyard.

Species dying from vicious diseases, yet few souls bat an eye.

O world, o wonderful world, what have we done to you?

Your climate is changing,

Your forests are dying,

Yet humans still keep fighting.

Fighting for what?

Our own petty ways,

Ignoring your species

Like the plastic in your oceans.

But you are beautiful world,

Why can’t they see that?

Are you not worth saving?
