Yellow and black bodies streak through the lush plant life overhanging
Anticipation fills the canopy as this minute creature gives life
“This only happens once a year,” the trees whisper to each other, “We must look our best.”
This creature does not care for looks, its eyes are set on one job
Vociferously beating its wings as it nimbly navigates all terrains; roads, streams, cities and desert
Gathering nectar of flowers to feed the young of the hive
Unbeknownst to them, they are creating life for themselves and other insects that feast on nectar
The flowers that the nectar has been taken from gives one of their biggest predators a food source
