Birds Singing

Birds sing in the trees
As bark peels with the breeze
At night the animals sleep in peace
Quickly and quietly the trees swirl around
The stars gaze shining bright
Then say goodnight
A morning glow of sun washes over all
Plants bloom around me
Insects crawl
And lizards speed across golden sand
Leaves change colour
The hum of bees collecting pollen
Plays music in my ears
The whoosh of the breeze is perfect
It is still
The blue sky is everywhere
It’s here, it’s there, wrapping around me
I am as warm as fur
The trees are quiet now
The birds make a nest and have a rest
