In the rocky terrain of the endless night you see

An extraordinary animal feeding on oranges for vitamin C.

Black-Footed Rock Wallaby’s habitat has crevices in their caves,

The way their habitat is sculptured they must have big brains.

The Black-Footed Rock Wallaby doesn’t cause any harm,

They are herbivores and are always calm.

They eat herbs, fruits, grasses, and leaves,

While cooling themselves in the summer breeze.

The Black-Footed Rock Wallaby has brown and thin fur,

Its narrow nose smells everything that might stir.

With a dark stripe between its mouth and its eyes,

They have a long tail which bumps up their size.

But the Black-Footed Rock Wallaby is now in danger

From overpopulation, cats, and even strangers.

Their beautiful habitat is on fire, but you say,

It doesn’t affect me, so you go away.

There are only twenty thousand of these creatures left,

But they’re so adorable don’t take them as pets.

It’s a replay of the terrible plague disease,

Let’s help them so we don’t lose them, please!
