Bliss

Fresh printed paper
a gleaming reflection against my face
Soapy bath water
inflaming my nostrils
a scent so favourable
Cool stone
and creamy skin
abutting my arms and back
Flowing water from a polished metal tap
as gold as warm, toasted sourdough
drizzled in thick honey
Amusement and ecstasy
swimming through the air
shifting from mouth to mouth
Pigments of colour splash across the room
shading our faces
a contrast from its usual tone
The middle of nowhere,
anywhere
anywhere but here.
