Blossoms Bloom

Cherry blossoms bloom brightly in pink and white,
The sun shines beautifully through the blossoms,
Pink and white petals fall slowly to the ground,
Branches lean over my head, while the sun shines through.
Lichen slowly spreads along the damp rotting bark,
Glowing fungi light up the silent forest,
Rotting bark slowly peels off the trunk of the tree,
Ants climb the trunk of the Japanese blossom tree.
Creepy crawlies scatter across the forest floor,
Ants collect the dew from the dewy grass,
Bark covers the spiders to make their nest,
Over time sticks become covered in lichen.
Worms sneak through the moist dirt.
Roots grow out of the soil for a trip hazard,
bugs and beetles create homes for each other,
Rotten logs decompose into the soil.
