Blue Mountains

I stand,
Leaning against a large eucalyptus,
Her hands reach towards the sky,
As though threatening to pull it down,
A soft breeze caresses my face,
The trees dance along to the silent music,
Eucalyptus floats on the wind,
It clears my body and mind
I am at peace,
I look down at a sea of blue and green,
And think about the life down there,
It could thrive and grow,
Taller than any building,
Prettier and brighter,
Than any shining light
But we humans would perish without this,
We wouldn’t survive,
And yet we still take it for granted.
